IIP TAKES THE CHALLENGE OF IMPARTING PHOTOGRAPHY EDUCATION TO THE 6-YEAR-OLD PHOTOGRAPHY ENTHUSIAST

The recently-ended Summer Course batch at IIP was something different from the previous ones; as one of the students, an innocent but enthusiastic 6-year-old child, Sidak S. Kalra, a student of Step by Step School from Noida, was a part of it. It was not less than a challenge for the mentor to give photography teaching to the youngest one. Ultimately this miracle child came out as successful and completed the course to become a certified IIPian.
As per the views received from the faculty attending Sidak, he was very quick in grasping whatever was taught and the way he was reacting to the things was giving an impression of being an inborn photographer. Throughout the course, the child was the centre of attraction for the fellow learners and an awe-inspiring object for other visitors in the institute premises.
It was really a great privilege that Indian Institute of Photography has enjoyed while educating this little photography genius. IIP strongly believes that creativity is an inborn talent and it can be enhanced and nurtured at any stage during lifetime right from childhood to the old age. The way IIP has trained Sidak S. Indian Institute of Photography organizes a Comprehensive Photography Workshop at Indus Valley Public School, Sector 62, Noida

Taking its mission forward to make photography accessible and affordable to each and every photography lover, Indian Institute of Photography organized a workshop in the premises of Indus Valley Public School in Sector- 62, Noida.

During this comprehensive workshop, a complete overview of photography basics was explained to the participants by a top-of-the-line IIP Faculty in a friendly, amiable and entertaining manner. 

After a detailed theory session, came the turn of practical round in which more than 50 students fulfilled their creative urge and curiosities by clicking thousands of pictures in the school surroundings as per the tips and guidance of mentor.

The enthusiasm of the students participating in the workshop was simply beyond expectations. The management of the school also appreciated IIP’s effort and considered the workshop as a meaningful event.

IIP’s purpose behind conducting this workshop was to explore and nurture the creative skills of the children and give them a chance to identify their photography caliber. This is the same philosophy that IIP strictly follows and this matches to the Institute’s Mission and Vision also.

The Institute is all set to continue these fruitful workshop in the schools spread across NCR, aiming at least one school every working day. The way IIP has made its mark in the photography education arena; has changed the way people have been learning and teaching the art of photography in India.

Kaleidoscope India 2012-13 website hits the cyber space with the announcement of Photography Contest Winners.

Conceptualized by the Management of Indian Institute of Photography, as a means to establish Photography as a serious art form among aspiring photographers, the website for Online Exhibition of Kaleidoscope India was launched here on Monday 17th June, 2012. The website is a unique platform to encourage and celebrate the unrecognized artistic works of new-age photography enthusiasts across the nation.

It will also be a place for prospective clients to tap into for their respective photography requirements.





Kaleidoscope India, a premier arm of the Indian Institute of Photography, organized the IIP Kaleidoscope India-2012-2013, a first-of-its-kind Photography Competition aimed at celebrating the beauty and diversity of India in 3 categories, namely Culture, People and Architecture.

It was the most comprehensive photography competition providing amateurs and emerging photographers a distinctive opportunity to capture and share the vibrancy that is inherent in the country. More than 1000 Entries were received from across India and the Jury appointed by Kaleidoscope India finalized them for awards across categories. Specially-designed certificates on the concept of ‘Unknown Photographer’ have also been finalized to be awarded to the winners of Kaleidoscope India 2012-2013.

Kaleidoscope India’s forthcoming photography Contests, Events and Exhibitions will feature the artistic works of new-age photographers in 3 categories including Nature & Landscapes, Elements of Design and Digital Dark Room. The participants can determine at their own where their contesting photos can fit, the most appropriately.
